In 2023, King Khalid International Airport marked 40 years since its opening, the first major celebration since the airport's inauguration. The occasion called for a large-scale campaign, and I worked on its identity while at MadTomato agency

The brief was to create a commemorative logo that carried the colors of the King Khalid International Airport identity. Because this was the first celebration since the opening, I wanted the campaign to evoke a sense of nostalgia, a look back at four decades of journeys. That led to the idea of postage stamps: a familiar symbol of travel and memory that could extend across the campaign's applications, which the Riyadh Airports in-house team would roll out. For the logo, I wanted to move away from the typical anniversary mark and create something that belonged to the airport alone. I gave the "4" a more fluid, flowing form and built airport-related details into the numerals themselves, so the number tells the airport's story at a glance

The campaign was implemented and went on to win Silver at the London Design Awards 2024 in the Communication Design – Campaigns / Advertising category
